The Work:

DevOps Engineer who can evaluate technologies for automation in software delivery.

We are looking for an engineer who is comfortable evaluating architectures for CI/CD, software tools, and evaluate the latest technologies for automation of software delivery. The ideal candidate is to have a background in software development, but has over time migrated to the DevOps arena. The candidate should have extensive experience in setting up and automating CI/CD processes for application components.

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

What you need:

Minimum of 5+ years experience supporting SDLC pipelines with CI/CD & setup from code repository to build servers, test Servers and production servers

Minimum 3+ Scripting experience in Shell OR Python.

Minimum 3 years Kubernetes/Openshift/Cloud Foundry Operations

Minimum 3 years experience with Jenkins/Hudson/GitLab or equivalent build orchestration tools

Minimum 2 years experience with AWS/Azure/GCP/other virtualization infrastructure such as Vmware

Bachelors degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Bonus points if you have:

Experience with configuration management.

Database experiences or setting up big data pipeline.

The program will use the advanced set of Digital Software Supply Chain tools created by Octo called Shift-Up to develop a unique Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps as a Service capability.

Skills & Requirements


Proficient in cloud engineering, building, delivering, and managing hybrid cloud environments; proficiency in AWS preferred

Skilled with Terraform development and understand Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code services.

Experience using CI/CD tools like Gradle, Docker, GitHub, GitLab, Nexus, JUnit, Harbor, SonarQube, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.

Linux experience including experience with Shell scripting, networking, storage and release management

Experience with at least one development language such as Java, Python, or Golang

Design, develop and operationalize new processes such as on demand environment provisioning

Stay abreast of new capabilities offered by open-source tools and cloud services in order to proactively and regularly provide recommendations to incorporate them

Adhere to security regulations per NIST 800.53 rev 4 by delivering security architecture, artifacts, and reviewing scan results as needed

Work as communicator, and collaborator in a multi project, multi contractor environment


Experience in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment

Certified Kubernetes Administration or Developer

Years of Experience: 4+ years professional experience;3+ years’ relevant experience working in progressively more responsible relevant roles

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline – Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience

Location: Remote (Some on Site – DC and MD) 10% Travel

Security Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a government Public Trust clearance is required. Possibly a SECRET Clearance

Must Have:

50% Devops (CI/CD Jenkins Required)

50% supporting legacy app in PHP.

• PHP / BuildKite / / CI/CD
• Analyze current applications and create detailed approach and estimates for documenting current application and suggestions for new platform.
• Create detailed specs for the application after reviewing the code.
• Ongoing support and possible re-engineering of application.
• Advanced level experience in script development and maintenance.
• Ability to write technical documents and specifications.
• Advanced level web development and maintenance experience with PHP.

Note: We can widen the scope of the requirement to include Jenkins as part of the background and will need to learn build kite if not part of the formal background.
