As a member on a team of Senior Python Developers you will work with our customer, subject matter experts, and researchers to evolve, automate, and enhance cyber security capabilities1-on-1 mentorship, training and advice to help users land their next job. What you’ll be doing
• Work closely with cyber personnel to understand manual analytic processes that are used to assist in the automation of those processes
• Create automated analytic capability sets (eg, signature, behavioral, heuristic, anomalous, unsupervised-learning, predictive, and emerging)
• Develop new platforms to elicit operational effect
• Support the design, development, and deployment of production systems adhering to the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery CI/CD pipeline
• Post-deployment support of continuous analysis through the full lifecycle of the capabilities
• Perform functions associated with the analysis of information, refinement of analytics and countermeasure selection, reviewing output, and making upgrades/improvements to the performance of the analytics and countermeasures

Basic Qualifications You Will Need To Have
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required as part of client contract requirement
• US Citizenship required as part of client contract requirement
• Master’s Degree in IT, cyber, or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development
• OR Bachelor’s Degree in IT, cyber, or related field AND minimum of 12 years of experience in software development
• OR No degree and a minimum of 22 years of experience in software development
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity requirements
• Experience with a variety of analytics Examples include file, network, host-based, and Emulytics

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within some or all of these capability areas Intrusion Detection; Analytics; Information Sharing; Intrusion Prevention; Core Infrastructure
• Experience with shell scripting
• Experience with EINSTEIN
• Experience with monitoring/diagnosing activity at the host, application, network, internet protocol, database, source code, and LAN layers or other areas preferred
• Experience in analytics associated with analyzing databases, source code, hosts, middleware, application, Local Area Network (LAN) and Internet networks across Open System Interconnect (OSI) model
• Experience in developing real or near real-time automation
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience

• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure management, with hands-on experience with cloud security or DevOps best practices

Job Details

The Developer will support the DoD enterprise Military system This complex system of 28 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 25 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families

As a Senior Software Developer, you will

Work within an Agile development structure to lead the software development processes necessary to support over 400 major updates and product changes per year across the enterprise

Ensure that all Product Increments are appropriately tested, comply with all DoD and service-level security and configuration requirements, and meet the needs of the customer

Gather and analyze user requirements generated through formal Change Management processes from Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, and DoD-level customers


BA/BS degree in a technical field (IT, Information Security, Software Development)

10 years of relevant professional experience supporting software development

Familiarity with Agile software development

Experience with Java, SQL

CompTIA Security +

Current Secret Clearance

Working knowledge of leading web frameworks such as GWT and MVC

Preferred Qualifications (At Least One Of These)

Certified Scrum Master

Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Certified Scrum Professional

An MS in a technical field is preferred

OCA or OCP Java Certification

Code in one or more languages besides Java (Python, PHP, C, Pro *C, etc)

Working knowledge of common software development best practice tools such as Jenkins, GIT, Maven, Ant, Gradle, etc

Working knowledge with many of the following standards/frameworks/tools J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, ANT, Gradle, EJB, JBoss, JFrog, SQL, XML, Oracle, MySQL, and reporting tools, ie Crystal Reports, JReports, JasperSoft etc
