Position Overview

Autodesk must secure its information assets, services, and products to build stakeholder trust and protect the privacy of our customers A Lead Network Security engineer will design, build, optimize and deploy network security controls to protect Autodesk and its customers against all types of threats and threat adversaries1-on-1 mentorship, training and advice to help users land their next job. This position will understand and research the latest network security threats, for deploying controls in the prevention, detection, and response to best secure the environment Additionally, the role will evangelize security practices to protect Autodesk against information security risks

This role will work across many security teams including infrastructure, engineering, operations, product development, incident response, and red teaming In addition, this position will actively collaborate and share ideas, thoughts and challenges with peers both inside and outside the company

Responsibilities
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Network Security to identify gaps, analyze innovative technologies and recommend automations, capabilities and integrations that improve the network security posture across various parts of the Autodesk Network
• Develop and deploy a zero-trust security model at Autodesk using capabilities like SASE, NAC, and CASB
• Design, build and operate security monitoring equipment for detection, protection and response including IDS/IPS, malware sandbox, packet capture, NetFlow tools, web application firewalls, real time application protection systems, log management, and SIEM
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to standardize campus, multi-cloud, datacenter and internet firewall deployments and security policies associated with them
• Assist in implementation of regulatory compliance initiatives related to Infrastructure Security
• Work with partner teams across Autodesk to update network security policies, standards, guidelines, and training
• Assist with incident response and investigations as needed as SME in the area
• Work with different product and service teams to enhance and evangelize security in infrastructure and drive changes needed to respond to emerging threats
• Perform security review on firewall configurations based on operational requirements for various parts of Autodesk Networks (corporate, commercial, multi-cloud)
• Provide Security requirements for configuration management of various network devices and appliances

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in one or more of the following areas: Zero trust, IDS/IPS, VPN, SSL/IPSec, DNS and other Network Security technologies
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in at least three of the following areas: Firewalls and encryption technologies, certificate management, cloud networking, WAF and DDoS protection, security logging and SIEM, device security and hardening, intrusion detection, Azure and AWS native security capabilities
• Master’s degree (MS) in computer science, applied information technology, or related field, or bachelor’s degree (BA) and equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of foundational security practices, vulnerabilities, risks and threats to analyze severity and impact to Autodesk
• Strong understanding of Networking, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPN, IPSec tunnels, WAF
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of the public cloud infrastructure and managed security services/capabilities in AWS/Azure
• network design, debugging, testing and documentation skills
• Strong understanding of security technologies including host and network-based protection and detection technologies

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of SASE and cloud firewalls/VPN capabilities is a plus
• Knowledge of Azure Identity, proxy, CASB, network and layer-7 firewalls
• Strong understanding of common protocols and cryptographic standards and ability to guide secure implementations
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in unstructured situations with little oversight
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
