Responsibilities

Guidehouse is looking for an experienced Front End, UI focused web developer that understands the importance of visual design best practices, while building accessible products and leading cross-functional teamsAd:

You will have 4-6 years of experience working on custom and cutting-edge, user interfaces that solve the needs of our clients

The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with User Experience Designers, Product Designers, Data/Analytics and Full Stack Developers to create custom solutions with a focus on creating accessible products that closely adhere to WCAG 20 guidelines You will be expected to work closely with internal and external clients and have experience presenting your work along the way

Required Experience:
• 3-5 years demonstrated experience with Microsoft or J2EE technology stack Eg, NET C#, VBNET, Angular 2+, Nodejs, Java applications
• Ability to develop functional web and mobile responsive web applications
• Working experience with at least one of the following JavaScript frameworks: Angular 2+, React/Redux, Vue, Svelte, Ember
• Strong understanding and experience with building component based applications
• Experience with using and implementing design systems
• Proficient knowledge of CSS concepts such as flexbox, CSS Grid, box model, stacking context
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Ability to develop 508 compliant user interfaces and test for it (experience with 508 testing is a plus)
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop
• Working knowledge of SVGs
• Basic knowledge of asset management and image optimization
• Experience with JIRA/TFS and MS Azure/AWS cloud platforms
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Certification (Azure Fundamentals, Azure Developer Associate or similar Azure certification)
• AWS Solutions Certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Associate Developer or similar)
• Experience with systems design and architecture
• Experience in Agile software development
Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Experience with all phases of the SDLC for a data-centric web application
• Experience with detailed design documents
• Leveraging customer digital knowledge and analytical skills, especially as it relates to project management, project facilitation, and the development of client proposals
• Researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry, and technical matters, including leveraging the ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred:
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of TypeScript
• Comprehensive understanding of UI design best practices, patterns and intuitive navigational schemes
• Collaboration with Creative team and UX designers to ensure successful implementation of functionality, usability, interface and interaction designs
• Proficient understanding of cross browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
• Experience with multi-threaded, and distributive Cloud architectures and frameworks
• Active Secret clearance

• Compensation may vary based on education, skills, experience and location Selected candidate must be local and able to work from one of the following offices: Tysons, VA (HQ); Washington DC; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Huntsville, AL as needed Client meetings may be required in-person
• This is an exempt level role that may require more than 40 hours of work per week
• Selected Candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours
