What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking candidates with extensive knowledge of and handson experience with Embarcadero ER/Studio, MS-SQLServer, Oracle and DB2 databases and other associated development tools. The Data Architect will be responsible for data modeling, creating databases and understanding ETL technologies like IBM Infosphere & SSIS. This candidate will interact with internal and external team members to provide technical solutions using Agile methodology. This position requires the individual to provide planning, estimation, scheduling, prioritization and coordination of technical activities related to report development with multiple stakeholders. Accountable to business and technology management for end-to-end application scoping, planning, development and delivery that meets and exceeds quality standards. What You Will Need:
Required: U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. B.S./B.A. in a relevant quantitative and computational field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, etc.). 10+ years of relevant experience OR 8+ years with a relevant masters degree. Ability to coordinate between business and IT groups, understand mission and data requirements, design data models, and develop data warehouse and data lake solutions accordingly for big data. Deep understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and database concepts. Ability to address system latency, data / disaster recovery, and file transfer. Ability to assess new data sources (structured and unstructured) for potential integration. Proficiency using SQL for data querying and extract transform load (ETL) functions, with understanding of data engineering concepts. Familiarity with cloud / serverless computing, such as Athena / Lambda. Ability to uphold strong data management and data governance. Ability to develop data dictionaries and other supporting documentation. Strong communication/presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences. Strong consulting skills: identifying and addressing client needs, building relationships, driving initiatives forward. Preferred: M.S./M.A. in a relevant quantitative and computational field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, etc.). Experience working with data scientists and analysts. Familiarity with Agile methodology. Experience supporting business development including RFP/RFQ/RFI responses and white papers. Experience/knowledge of the National Security sector. Hybrid Positions: Compensation may vary based on education, skills, experience and location. Selected candidate must be local and able to work from one of the following offices: Tysons, VA (HQ); Washington DC; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Huntsville, AL as needed. Client meetings may be required in-person.
