What you are good at

You will be responsible for implementing and managing the release management process for EMOST and driving towards a DevOps culture. You will maintain and improve EMOST release and deployment process, identify and manage release dependencies within EMOST and/or outside of EMOST, implement a release schedule for EMOST, and communicate release status to stakeholders. The Release Manager will be a liaison to Change Management team and will collaborate with all members of the software development team to ensure change management policies are enforced. We’re looking for technology leaders who are enthusiastic about working across different organizations to streamline Production Releases for a Department consisting of multiple lines of businesses and increasing efficiency with process improvements. The role will require a high level of responsibility yet has a support structure necessary for development growth.

The Role Will Focus On The Following Areas
• Planning – Coordination across multiple organizations, adhering to release schedule and business alignment. Establishing a release cadence for EMOST.
• Risk Assessment – Code freeze processes, scope, quality and review sessions.
• Executing – Release coordination, release tactics and issue management.
• Measuring – Establish, mature and automate release metrics.
• Process Improvement/Automation – Tools improvement, process automation and innovation.
• Education – Constant education for stakeholders and engineers.
• Mentoring – Mentor and coach team members.

What you have
• 8+ years working in an enterprise software organization.
• 6 – 8 years demonstrated real world experience with Release Management discipline and processes.
• Experience with Agile & SAFe (or other scaling frameworks), working with Agile teams and leveraging Agile tools in order to accomplish Release Management goals.
• Strong problem solving and the ability to partner with Product Owners, Software Application engineers, Release Engineers and other engineers across an organization.

Ability to use and build web applications using REST, JSON, or similar protocols.
Experience with test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG and integrating test automation into DevOps pipelines
Ability to translate highly technical details into easy-to-understand language and diagrams for management to take action
A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather then do things manually
Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices (D2P: development to production)
UNIX and Linux system administration experience

Analyze the technology options/feasibility and define the build, delivery, and deployment pipeline for applications Provide leadership in implementing a secure, robust and high availability DevOps pipeline Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while confidently driving multiple projects across many teams Work closely with engineers, QA, project managers throughout the software lifecycle in optimally delivering outstanding, large scale systems Implement push button deployment at scale with zero downtime
Education & Experience
BS degree in computer science or similar field with 8+ years experience or MS degree with 5+ years experience
