Role Overview:

An experienced Python developer is being sought to assist in building the next phase of our strategic OTC derivative confirmations platform in 2022 for equity swaps and FX Options. Coordination across all regions and development locations will be required to deliver a confirmation solution that will provide STP confirm generation and matching for equity derivatives.

Technology stack will primarily be a Python based in house framework used front to back for pricing, trade capture, risk management, lifecycle management, confirmation, and settlement with a shared code base across all of capital markets technology groups. A distributed object oriented database with a high speed search cache and a document generation vendor product SmartDX will also be used extensively.

Required Skills:
• 3+ years experience in object oriented programming and design (Python, C++, Java, etc… – Desire to improve skills and develop primarily in Python)
• 3+ years experience in Unit testing framework and test-driven development
• 3+ years experience in distributed systems and object oriented databases

Execution of Jobs / Scripts where ever applicable.

Co-ordinate with project team for defect reviews and builds deployments

Drive testing activities to meet agreed schedule and efforts

Work with DBA team and engage in non-prod data refresh.

Collaborate with developers in reviewing unit test and integration results for coverage analysis

Communicate risks, issues, concerns if any, to project team on regular interval

Co-ordinate and support UAT as required

Post production validation (production check out)

Learn constantly and keep up with technological changes, best practices, newer frameworks, and patterns related to all technologies Drive continuous integration and deployment efforts

Excellent understanding of the testing process, test types, and testing methodologies.

Must have-

Experience in Pytest automation tools

Experience in Python Scripting skills

What You Will Be Doing

Define requirements for development and testing tools. Define new ways to use existing tools in order to improve development processes.

Select algorithms and design patterns considering embedded system constraints.

Break down user and technical stories into smaller tasks. Provide accurate estimates for task completion time. Assist others in breaking down stories and improving their estimation.

Lead architectural and design reviews.

Work with product management to define user and technical requirements.

Review and implement protocols for interacting with backend and mobile software.

Read schematics and component datasheets to understand requirements for hardware driver implementation. Provide recommendations to hardware engineers for component selection based on firmware needs.

Implement bootloaders and use hardware tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to bring up firmware on new boards.
