Network Security Engineer

Astranis is looking for an expert in networking and security who will help us ensure all of our networks, from corporate to lab to mission, remain secure and reliable as we expand to support our future fleet of satellites. You will ensure that we not only develop networks that scale with the business, but which employ best practices in encryption, authentication, virtual private networks, and network and device segregation.

Role
• Planning, engineering and monitoring the security of our corporate, lab/production and mission networks
• Identifying potential threats to our network and identifying remediation
• Configuring and implementing intrusion detection
• Defining policies for the secure configuration of firewalls, virtual private networks, web application firewalls and similar systems on our network

Requirements

The Network Security Engineer provides security oversight to First Republic Banks computing environment.

What youll do as a Network Security Engineer:

Systems include IDS/IPS; Database Activity Monitoring; and Vulnerability Scanners. Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of the Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM) system.
• Develop and implement SIEM use cases to support the monitoring of the Banks infrastructure and ensuring that regulatory and legal compliance (e.g. GLBA, SOX) is maintained and compliance with Bank policy is maintained. Support the incident response team, by providing tier 2 support to incident handlers.
• Data Loss Prevention Program: Support the enterprise data loss prevention program by identifying and controlling data loss channels. As directed, work with business units to address their data loss prevention requirements.
• Cyber Intelligence Analysis: Monitor cyber intelligence and provide input as necessary to other groups within the Bank. Take proactive steps, such as implementing controls, to reduce the likelihood of a successful attack. Update incident response procedures as necessary based upon cyber intelligence.
• Project Consulting: Provide security consulting services, as needed, to various projects. Provide assistance to the Information Security Architect in the design of security solutions.

• Technical network (e.g. CCNA, CCNP Security) and security certifications highly desirable (e.g. CISA, CISSP, GCIH).

Network Security Engineer- 100% remote ATLANTA based ONLY at Matrix Resources

Location: Irvine

Title: Network Security Engineer

Pay: $60-65/hr. W2

Location: Remote, for now, MUST BE BASED IN ATLANTA

Duration: 6 months with potential to go longer

DESCRIPTION: Are you an experienced Network and Systems Engineer looking for your next opportunity where you can work 100% remotely? We are looking for a candidate based in Atlanta to provide network and systems security project experience for our growing eCommerce company.

Some of the projects that you will be involved with include the following:
• Fixing DHCP and DNS to ensure it is working properly
• Help a 3rd party partner implement Exchange 2016
• Implement DFSR for real-time file replication to replace a 3rd party application
• Disable unused service accounts in the domain admin group
• Manage, maintain and renew security certifications
• Create, document, and implement standardized server baseline build
• Experience managing Azure AD
• Scripting in PowerShell
• BitLocker implementation and management

If you have any experience with AWS, that would be a plus as well.

This would be a contract engagement to start with the potential for something long-term.
