Position Responsibilities

Compensation and benefits information for this position is being included in accordance with requirements of the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The hourly rate or salary compensation range being offered for this role is $110,000-140,000. This role is also eligible for an annual 10% bonus.

Be Accountable and Responsible
• Set up, maintain, and monitor production servers, applications and infrastructure, as well as staging, testing, and development environments.

The OneKube teams are endeavoring to provide a self-service Kubernetes provisioning platform for the enterprise, utilizing cutting-edge cloud tooling such as Kubernetes, Cluster API, and AWS EKS + Fargate . You’ll be developing Kubernetes operators and other tooling to enable our small engineering team to manage fleets of Kubernetes clusters for engineering teams across Capital One. You will also collaborate with experts in Kubernetes and container management to design and engineer solutions, troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and AWS infrastructure, and assist in ensuring our platform is secure and operating efficiently. Very few organizations in the world are working in this Kubernetes fleet management space, so this is an opportunity to truly innovate and venture into new territory with emerging technologies.

What You’ll Do:
• Assist in building out the management API layer for the platform
• Collaborate with external teams to define requirements and plan work
• Ensure vulnerabilities are well managed through process, tooling, and automation improvements
• Contribute to and improve our existing Kubernetes operators
• Design and implement new automation pipelines and processes
