This role will specifically focus on large scale data warehousing and data warehouse modernization. The role is to help our customers and partners to eliminate technical and economic constraints from their legacy data warehouses and help them to leverage their data to develop business insights. Our consultants will develop, deliver and implement data warehouse projects that help our customers help our customers leverage their data to develop business insights. These professional services engagements will focus on customer solutions such as data warehousing, business intelligence and advanced analytics.

Responsibilities include:
· Expertise – Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Redshift, Database Migration Service, Glue, S3, and Schema Conversion Tool.
· Solution – Deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers. This includes participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer requirements, contributing to internal Area of Depth (AoD) programs, authoring AWS Data Analytics best practice blogs/whitepaper and creating packaged data service offerings.
· Delivery – Engagements include short on-site projects to assess and optimize customer’s Amazon Redshift implementations and helping customers to migrate from their existing on-premises data warehouses using other databases to Amazon Redshift.
· Innovate – Engaging with the customer’s business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment

This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent professional or military experience
· 8+ years of experience of IT platform implementation in a technical role
· 8+ years of development and/or DBA experience in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
· 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning MPP databases (Teradata, Vertica, Netezza, Greenplum)
· Experience with prioritization of projects that mitigate trade-offs
· Experience in analyzing Data Warehouses such as Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, etc. or Greenplum etc.
· Experience designing database environments, analyzing production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Math
· Ability to evaluate and plan migrations to Amazon Redshift
· One of the AWS Associate level certifications or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
· Extensive hands on experience in leading large-scale full-cycle MPP enterprise data warehousing (EDW) projects
· Extensive hands on experience in data warehousing design, tuning and ETL/ELT process development
· Excellent SQL and strong hands-on scripting (bash, perl or python) ability
· Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing, enterprise environments
· Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including MPP databases, Data Warehouse design, BI reporting, Dashboard development and NoSQL storage

Position Responsibilities

Overview:

IPS is hiring We are actively seeking an experienced Process Architect and/or Lab Planner, to lead our growing San Francisco Bay Area and West Coast projects in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology market sector. This position is currently remote and can be based on the West Coast time zone with the ability to support projects throughout California. IPS local offices are in Emeryville, CA

Our process architects and lab planners work independently on various projects as assigned by the Director of Process Architecture. He/she may oversee the entire design process or assist as a technical expert on a specialized design at the front end of a project.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
Assess the requirements of a project, break a project into tasks, and work with a Project Manager to determine scope of work, budget, and staffing
• Write scope of work for architectural design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client
• Knowledge of applicable building codes
• Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required
• Assign and review work of project design team
• Check progress of work and alert Project Manager to change of scope or additional services
• Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within company and externally with clients and other design professionals. Proficient written and oral communications skills
• Work with IPS in-house estimating department and preconstruction to prepare or review construction budgets and schedules based on experience and scope of project
• Assist in the education and development of design staff and act as resource for design questions.
• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:
• 5+ years of lab planning and/or biotechnology manufacturing-based architecture design experience
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Architecture; registered architect and AIA certification is preferred
• Research & Development and/or GMP design experience
• Proven experience leading conceptual design efforts
• Proficient in daily use of an AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit, etc.
• Must have the ability to interpret a building program and generate varied design concepts (knowledge of building and zoning codes)
• Proven experience interacting and communicating directly with clients
• Active participation in industry organizations and related initiatives is strongly preferred
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on more than one project at a time
