In this rewarding role, you will:
• Analyze, recommend and design end-to-end enterprise IT architecture

Ideally, you will have:

The Position

Crown Data Systems is hiring a full-time, remote, permanent position for a Software Architect who will work with our cross-functional Agile team. We’re looking for US citizens with native level English in the Eastern or Central time zones. You will be the technology lead for the team. You’ll work over Google Meet and Slack to coach team members, provide assistance, and offer guidance on coding style and design. You must be able to thoughtfully provide guidance to the team and business at large about how to move forward with system and application designs. You will work closely with the VP of Development to setup team members for successful execution of backlog items.

Being able to analyze requirements, telemetry, and logs to effectively provide solutions is the most important quality for candidates. You must have deep knowledge in .NET, Visual Studio, and surrounding Microsoft technologies. Everything we create is in either Visual Studio or VS Code – so understanding how to effectively use those tools is paramount. Azure experience is a big plus as all of our new applications run in Azure. Experience with web technologies and Angular is required as all of our front-ends are now created for web browsers using that framework.

The Team

Being able to collaborate effectively is a necessity for this position as we are a full-time remote team. We operate in two week sprints and are mainly focused on executing our sprint and not supporting production – minus our in-team DevOps automation engineers. You will help the team understand, plan, execute, test, and deploy user stories from our product backlog created by our product owner. We are a very process driven team with an ever evolving process created by and for the team.

Our Technology

We are mostly focused our or newer products and tech stack, but we do need to support the older products. Our modern tech stack uses C#, Azure functions, Windows services, and web services with an Angular front-end which integrates our legacy and current software products. All of our automation is done using PowerShell or C#. Our legacy tech stack uses C# and VB with desktop, web, and backend services. We heavily use Azure storage accounts (blob & table storage), Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB for our databases.

• Experience with Agile Enterprise frameworks (e.g. SAFe ®, ITIL ® Sigma, Agile/SCRUM processes, etc.)

• Extensive customer relationship management experience and collaboration skills
• Experience in leading a team or teams of consultants
• Industry subject matter expertise (e.g. Retail, Energy, Financial Services, Healthcare, etc.)

What you†ll do on a typical day:

Determines and gathers work estimates for projects.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you†ll need:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience

• 8+ years†relevant software development experience including creating business applications with relational and non-relational database systems, within a fast-paced software development environment.
• 4+ years demonstrated experience in an architect role.
