Job Summary

The Data Quality Management Analyst will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, developing, deploying, and monitoring data quality controls deployed through the Data Management program and working with the appropriate data stewards to improve monitoring and remediation capabilities using computer software. This position requires extensive knowledge of data quality concepts and operationalizing those relevant to CNB through a combination of Enterprise Data Governance Platform capabilities and other software and data engineering techniques. This is a supporting role to the Data Quality Management Lead Analyst providing data sourcing, analysis and reporting to develop and maintain acceptable data quality levels for selected data assets.

Data Quality Management will rely on processes and computer software to effectively deliver value to the business in the form of tangible outcomes such as improved data quality and increased value of data assets. This position requires the ability identify problematic data assets, isolate root causes, analyze/develop functional requirements, and facilitate remediation efforts by providing data-driven designs, insights, and validation. This position entails proficiency in collecting and analyzing data assets and their representation in the Enterprise Data Governance Platform capabilities to ensure best practices are followed, in particular as they pertain to metadata and data quality management.

The Data Quality Management Analyst is proficient in configuration and operation of the Enterprise Data Governance Platform and supports data stewards across the organization in managing their data assets’ quality levels and metadata (business term definitions, data dictionaries, lineage maps, and data quality control prototypes). Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for platform, reinforcement of data gathering, processing, and reporting needed to satisfy auditor and regulator requests when related to Data Management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Data Quality Management (Primary):

Hold regular meetings with platform and data users to identify and address DQ concerns and improvement opportunities.

Monitor DQ capabilities offered at CNB to identify issues and developing trends to prevent/address DQ control breaches.

Participate in the preparation and validation of DQ status reports delivered to subscribed stakeholders.

Monitor and report DQ policy deviations and gather supporting information that can lead to root cause identification.

Work with data users/owners on the development, testing, and maintenance of preventative and reactive DQ controls.

Oversee/consult on requirements definition, execution planning, development, and testing of data quality dashboards.

Work with Enterprise Data Governance software vendor to report and address platform-related issues.

Understand and promote compliance with Data Management policies.

Monitor assigned DQ dashboards, address anomalies and make improvements as required to maintain efficacy.

The Position:

The Partnership for Policing Innovation and Reform, a public safety non-profit headquartered in Miami, seeks one (1) Crime Analyst with extensive knowledge of ArcGIS and business intelligence (BI) software, and strong technical and communication skills. The selected individual will work in close partnership with a local police department to enhance the use of data and analytics, in an effort to reduce gun violence and improve public safety in the Miami area. This is your chance to use your analytical skills to make a real difference in everyday lives.

The Partnership for Policing Innovation and Reform provides technical assistance, data analysis, and research services to reduce violent crime and increase equity in support of responsible police reform through intelligent, precise public safety strategies.

This position is embedded within a local agency, working alongside sworn officers and professional staff, and working closely within analytical and technical teams to deliver GIS and BI dashboards and other operational products. Candidate selection will emphasize teamwork, commitment, a sense of urgency, and continuous improvement.

The selected candidate will work on-site in the Miami area. This is not a remote or home-based position.

Compensation is competitive in Florida and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Annual minimum salary: $60K.

Required Qualifications:
The candidate must be a current Florida resident or a U.S citizen who is willing to relocate (US Citizen or green card holder; the position is not eligible for sponsorship).
Bachelor’s degree required; fields of particular interest are criminal justice, economics, sociology, public policy, statistics, computer science, or similar.
