OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE :

Responsible for supporting the design, build, and implementation of Ingress and Egress controls.

Responsible for supporting the design, build, and implementation of AWS Networking and Content Delivery services, focusing on Amazon VPC, AWS Transit Gateway, and Security Group configuration.

Responsible for updating key stakeholders on all activities related to data security in the cloud.

Responsible for supporting the network security aspect (hardening) of AWS approved services with a defense in depth mindset.

Responsible for supporting the build of infrastructure as code from a networking perspective.

Analyze network logs for configuration drift and potential anomalous activity.

Define proper risk levels that align with the company risk appetite without compromising velocity or innovation.

Influence security controls related to Network Security in cloud hosting provider environments.

Make recommendations, leveraging deep knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity technologies / products.

Educate on the importance of network security in the cloud.

BASIC SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent work experience

5 years of hands on experience in the Network Security

3 years of hands on experience in the AWS Environment

Expert knowledge of cloud shared responsibility models

Proven experience in automation, API’s, terraform, IaC, json, python, WAF, DDOS, and firewall configuration

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work east coast hours and travel as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent work experience

Certifications : AWS Foundations, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS Security Speciality

Experience in a DevOps organization

The MITRE Corporations All-Domain Integration (ADI) Department (N163) supports development and delivery of integrated, agile mission capabilities that will enable the US and Coalition forces to operate at the speed of relevance.

ADIs focus is to (1) develop joint, all-domain operational concepts; (2) mature these concepts through realizable architectures;

and (3) transition the developed capabilities to the warfighter. This involves the near-term modernization of fielded capabilities and development of next generation warfighter operations in all phases of systems evolution : from concept exploration, through experimentation and fielding.

To achieve this broad set of outcomes for our Government Sponsors, the ADI department seeks staff that have knowledge or interest in several related areas of expertise, including multi-domain operations and architectures;

end-to-end kill chain integration and assessment; platform integration through advanced computing and networking; and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) integration and exploitation.

MITRE and the ADI department work hand-in-hand with Government sponsors and the warfighter to serve as technical advisors bringing domain experience and state-of-the-art solutions to their most demanding operational challenges.

Successful candidates will join our team and immediately begin tackling emerging, high-priority challenges in the areas of all-domain operations and Joint, All-Domain Command & Control (JADC2).

The technical work areas you will apply your skills to include :

Identify, assess, prototype, and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions

Recommend process, security, and architecture improvements

Developing recommendations on the migration path for Air Force systems and application as they move to Commercial Cloud Service Providers.

Working in partnership with multiple stakeholders to develop optimal solutions which account for multiple variables and perspectives.

Basic Qualifications :

Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step;

or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications :

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Understanding of Cloud Computing techniques, methods, and best practices

Experience applying cybersecurity concepts

Understanding of software design patterns and best practices

Enthusiasm and a desire to learn and grow

Programming Language experience with one or more of :

o Java, ASP.NET, PHP, Ruby, YAML, JSON, PYTHON

Preferred Qualifications :

Proven experience with cloud computing

Ability to analyze large, complex, systems

Knowledge of DoD and Air Force environment

Ability to learn new technologies and techniques and apply systems engineering skills

Cyber security certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CCSP

Technical writing skills such as drafting software designs and technical guidance

Knowledge of networking and access protocols such as HTTP, DNS, LDAP, SAML, SSL / TLS.

Strong interpersonal, briefing, and communication skills

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret / SCI Clearance.

Certification with a commercial cloud provider or on-premises virtualization solution (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, VMWare)

Senior cloud architect at organón

Primary Responsibilities :

Provide Expert Level Architecture / Engineering efforts related to Organon’s Network Cloud solutions including both the cloud and on-prem.

Develop Architecture / Design / Automation and lead planning and deployment for Network project solutions.

5+ years experience with advanced network solutions such as SDDC edge and wan, cloud network platforms (AWS, Azure).

Ability to provide support for a secured environment with deep knowledge of IP based protocols.

Ability to acquire new skills in a diverse environment.

Ability to lead and run implementation projects with a virtual adhoc team.

Preferred Experience and Skills :

Working Knowledge of automation API / tools or management GUI (AWS, Azure, ACI).
