Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a Software Developer based out of Hollywood, MD. Our Team works on state of the art Mission Planning systems.

Responsibilities Include:
• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements; prepares operating instructions;.
• Ensures software standards are met.
This is a dual level opportunity. We are open to candidates that qualify for a level 2 or level 3.

Basic Qualifications:

Level 2 Requirements:
• 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters; High School Diploma / Equivalent with 6 Years of experience may accepted in lieu of degree .
• 1 year of work experience in C#
• 1 year of work experience any of the following: Java, C/C++
• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP) is required.
Level 3 Requirements:
• 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; High School Diploma / Equivalent with 9 Years of experience may accepted in lieu of degree .
• 2 years of work experience in C#
• 3 years of work experience any of the following: Java, C/C++
• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in C#
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills
• Works well in a team-environment
• Previous in-depth domain knowledge of program software design and code preferred
• Familiarity with XML and XML schemas
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Experience developing User Interfaces using WPF and XAML
• Familiar with Object Oriented Design and Software Design Patterns

Salary Range: $85,000 USD – $123,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $101,000 USD – $152,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Software Automation Engineer C/C++ (JO-221) at Ledgent Technology

Location: Rancho Cucamonga

Seeking jr-mid level automation experience with C/C++ and PLC programming. Open to internship experience.

Experience with product design, product release and customer service operations.
Experience in developing and maintaining client and vendor relationships.
Strong understanding of design, engineering, plant layouts and manufacturing processes.
Must possess a valid unrestricted CA driver’s license, a valid unrestricted passport and be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for periods not to exceed 3 weeks at a time.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Works with high end computerized real-time sensor and control systems using state of the art software (low and high level languages) and hardware (custom and commercial circuitry, microprocessors, signal processors, communication I/O devices, sensors, actuators and analog circuitry).
Designs and develops programs for PCs, microprocessors, and digital signal processors using the Windows environment to control machinery related to fruit sorting, handling, quality control, processing and packaging.
Setup and program new, and troubleshoot existing, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Touch Screens / Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Inverters / Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley experience a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot and edit ladder logic programs. Ability to create ladder logic programs from scratch a plus.
Makes recommendations for software and hardware in regards to PCs, microprocessors and digital signal processors.
Works with the Research Engineering Team to troubleshoot, evaluate problems and create long-term solutions, which could include upgrades, equipment replacements, and modifications of technology to automated systems for handling and processing equipment in fruit and vegetable packinghouses.
Performs complex troubleshooting, specialized tests, inspections, and appraisals on optical apparatus, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems.
Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action.
Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation.
Devises and implements preventive maintenance programs, participates in installation planning phase.
As necessary, travel to the field to improve communications with customers and field service engineers, gather information, and resolve unique and/or troublesome problems with the hardware, software and application elements related to product lines.
Develops new ideas and adapts new research principles and techniques for application to specific development program efforts.
Recommends, develops and executes plans for resolving system problems that do not respond to normal service techniques.
Writes, edits and ensures the correct revisions of procedures, drawings and technical manuals.
