This is a unique and highly critical role that will be based out of the Pacific North West where you will work on site with leading tech companies such as Meta and SpaceX to perform instillations, training, calibrations, maintenance of our AR/VR/MR test equipment.

Due to ITAR regulations this position is only open to candidates that can work in the US without sponsorship and are located in the Pacific North West and able to travel up to 25% within this area

What You Will Be Doing
• Working onsite with top tech companies to help them use our AR/VR/MR test equipment
• Identify and evaluate customer’s needs and sales opportunities and provide technical solutions for production equipment and optical metrology to address their needs
• Travel to client sites to perform all installations, training, repairs, and maintenance of AR/VR/MR product support services
• Maintain expert level of our Measurement Systems for AR/VR Optics platform
• Develop, foster and maintain professional business relationships with clients
• Provide status updates of ongoing and future projects to Management

What You Need for this Position

At Least 5 Year of experience (professional or advanced education/research) and knowledge of:

Digital Signal Processing Engineer, Motion Sensors at Meta

Location: Austin

• Reality Labs (RL) Sensors Team at Meta is helping build novel products in Augmented and Virtual Reality.
• Our team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge sensing technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future AR/VR products at Meta. We are looking for candidates with experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for sensor systems to assist with the development of novel hardware and software systems within the RL Sensors Team, while collaborating with experts across multiple domains.
• Collaborate with other researchers and engineers across Facebook to develop novel hardware and software products that advance the state-of-the-art in AR/VR systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external research, design, and engineering teams to develop Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for sensor systems that advance the state-of-the-art.
• Work with the team to help design, setup, and run practical experiments related to sensor systems.
• 5+ years’ experience in embedded software development using C/C
• 5+ years’ industry experience, directly contributing to DSP algorithm development for consumer electronics products.
• Demonstrated experience in signal conditioning, digital filtering, signal-to-noise ratio analysis, link-budget analysis, detection and estimation theory.
• Hands-on experience in developing DSP algorithms for Inertial Sensors, Pressure Sensors, Magnetometers, Ultrasonic Transducers, and/or similar sensors.
• Experience with standard MCU interfaces such as USB, I2C, UART, and SPI.
• Demonstrated interpersonal experience in cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with modern Machine Learning algorithms, specifically Deep Convolutional Networks, Recurrent Neural Networks, Clustering, and Dimensionality Reduction.
• Experience with Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO), and Sensor Fusion algorithms.
• 2+ years’ circuit design experience with Microcontrollers and/or FPGAs∯*∯
• 5+ years’ experience with scripting environments such as MATLAB and/or Python.
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with the emerging Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies.
• MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering disciplines.
