Security Analyst

Position Description
CGI is looking for a client-focused Security Analyst. Working on client site or from CGI, you will become a trusted advisor to our client to help them achieve their goals. The ideal candidate will have experience working through all phases of the full software development lifecycle. A strong technical and analytical background with experience in systems integration is preferred

Your future duties and responsibilities
Understanding of IT security in NIST SP 800 (i.e. 800-53 rev4 and rev5) series guidance to produce Security Authorization documentation for GSS, Major Applications, and Minor Applications.
Provide punctual and high-quality delivery and support functions by:
Preparing for and holding monthly security meetings.
Providing monthly security status for the Stakeholders.
Perform technical analysis, creation and/or review of Security artifacts (e.g., SSP, PIA, PTA, CP, BIA, SCW, MOU and AOR).
Familiar with use of Security and Management system such as OpenFISMA, CSAT, CSAM to store and maintain security documentation.
Analyze and advise on the risk and remediation of security issues based on reports from Vulnerability assessment, Security Control Assessments and Emerging threat information.
Coordinate and track remediation of security vulnerabilities as they are discovered, via a “Plan of Actions and Milestones” (POAM)
Review OCISO guidance and operational procedures for compliance with security requirements and policy; establishing security awareness and interpreting security principles and requirements to the team.
Work within a cross-functional environment applying agile methodologies with a focus on continuous security improvement.
Collaborate with the Application Security team (ISSMs, ISSOs, and ISMs) to ensure continued compliance and continuous monitoring of the applications
Coordinates and guides team in understanding security compliance and risk tolerance associated with the Portfolio and each application
Understanding the business priorities and corresponding assurance level is critical.
Familiar with ATO process from Inception to receiving the Authorization to Operate.
Analyze new technologies to protect FDIC’s network and data.
Familiar with migrating On-Prem Applications to Cloud ( IaaS, SaaS )
Monitor and maintain the software and hardware within the security infrastructure. This will involve patching, upgrades, reviewing and mitigating vulnerabilities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
> 7 years of in information security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues.
CISSP, CAP, GIAC, Ethical Hacking or other security certifications are a requirement.
Ability to work with our customers and understand their complex requirements and find solutions that are amicable for both parties.
Security areas of knowledge include information security, cybersecurity, on-prem systems security.
Experience should include security policy development, network penetration testing, application vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and compliance testing.
Knowledge of information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality and desktop, server, application, database, network security principles for risk identification and analysis.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.
List items desired for the Candidate, but not required.
Prior Federal experience is a plus
Prior automated pipeline experience is a plus

Minimum Years of directly related experience Required: 7+

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Degree
