• *General Description:**
CACI is currently looking for a UI Designer/Developer with agile methodology experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
• *What You’ll Get to Do:**
Serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing UI/UX design and development for the delivery of releasable software in short sprint cycles. Responsible for activities associated with software projects by working in close collaboration with business analysts, software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes. Responsibilities include:
+ Conceptualize and design custom software application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems with limited oversight.
+ Plan, design, and implement common user interface components to be used throughout multiple applications in the ecosystem.
+ Document, explain, and walkthrough common UI component features and usage for other product teams to ensure adoption.
+ Support the design of a cohesive look-and-feel and standardized user experience across the applications.
+ Design and implement compelling, creative, and user-focused experiences and points of view that align with clients’ business objectives.
+ Develop wireframes, mockups, and/or prototypes supporting design ideas and effectively communicate ideas to various stakeholders.
+ Present UI designs to stakeholders and back-up design decisions based on industry best practices and sound design principles.
+ Work closely the functional team to determine feasibility of requirements and collaborate on design ideas and improvements.
+ Ensure product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports.
+ Providing mentoring to junior members of the team.
• *You have:**
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:
+ 3 year check for felony convictions
+ 1 year check for illegal drug use
+ 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
+ College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
+ Professional Experience: at least seven (7) years related technical experience, with software design, development, and implementation targeting web browsers and mobile devices.
• *You’ll Bring These Qualifications:**
+ Demonstrable professional experience with our UI design & development tech stack: Angular, Typescript, Figma, Axure, UI design systems, CSS, styling & theming using Angular Material, nginx.
+ In-depth knowledge of both the Angular Framework (TypeScript, Angular Material, state management), as well as experience designing UI screens (prototypes, wireframes, mock-ups) in a design tool such as Figma and/or Axure.
+ Knowledge of creating Angular components and services, good understanding of state management (NGXS and/or NGRX) and UI performance considerations.
+ Demonstrable experience creating reusable libraries, developing interactive and responsive interfaces, implementing complex solutions, encouraging quality code through conducting reviews/leading tests.
+ Experience implementing new features by transforming mockups into fully functional user interfaces integrated with API enabled microservice built on Spring Boot based backend.
+ Demonstrated professional experience with developing SPA (Single Page Application) using Angular and Angular Material, backed by RESTful services.
+ Ability to bridge the gap between user interface design and technical implementation.
+ Passionate for user experience and user-centric development.
+ Continuously research new and best design and coding practices.
+ Strong communication skills that include leading design-related conversations, ability to build and nurture good relationships and foster an environment for collaboration
+ Object oriented design and development (OODD) expertise, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
+ Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred)
+ Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management.
• *These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:**
+ Mobile/responsive application UI design and implementation experience a plus (as native apps or PWA).
+ Experience with RESTful service creation using Java Spring boot a plus.
+ Experience with SQL or PL/SQL Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL Server databases a plus.
+ Understanding of system architecture concepts and experience with system design (defining service building blocks, data flow, caching strategies for UI assets, building systems with scalability, reliability, and maintainability in mind).
+ DevOps experience/CI/CD pipeline.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $79,000-$161,900. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
